This week’s nail polish is Essie’s Hide and Go Chic from Essie’s Spring 2014 collection.
Essie describes the color as a “covetable azure blue.” It’s a very pretty blue-green color. It applied well and was opaque after two coats of nail polish.
You can find this nail polish and all of the past Nail Polishes of the week at my Nail Polish of the Week Luvocracy collection!

So…I’m kind of nail polish obsessed. Even though I know I have way too much nail polish, I can’t seem to stop myself from buying more. The nail polish I’m going to be talking about this week I almost bought twice! Recently one of the people I watch on YouTube mentioned this nail polish. I loved the color and I almost picked it up on my way home that day. I’m really glad I didn’t because when I went to see if I had any colors that were similar to it, I realized I already owned it.
My goal with these posts is to post one update a week with pictures of the nail polish and a mini review. In future weeks I will also post a picture of my nails with the previous week’s polish right before I change the color to show how that polish held up over the week.
Here we go!
The polish is Essie Cute as a Button. I love this color. Corals are my weakness, especially in the summer. Cute as a Button is a great bright color, but it isn’t one of those crazy bright or neon corals so I still feel okay wearing it at work. I find that this color looks more orange or more pink depending on the light, it has a really good balance.
I applied two coats to get an opaque finish. It wasn’t difficult to apply, although my polish may have a slightly thicker consistency than a new bottle because I have had it for about a year.
Nails day 1
I really want to keep up with these posts, not just to put up pictures of all my nail polish, but to motivate myself to wear different colors and actually use more of my nail polish collection. I realized recently that even if I do change my nail polish once a week, it would take me more than a year to get through every color that I have just once. So, I also wan’t to combine these weekly posts with a nail polish no buy.
Nail Polish No Buy Update – 2 weeks since I last bought nail polish!
